Start the day by the district of “Chartrons” in Bordeaux famous for the wine merchants.
A small distance to the north of Bordeaux’s historic centre is the district of Chartrons. This district is centred around the Eglise St Louis and has an almost village-like atmosphere and a couple of interesting sites.
The main attraction here is simply to take a stroll to enjoy the lively streets and many antique shops or to stop for lunch at one of the small restaurants that spill over onto the pavements. In the district The wine merchants’ museum offers a visit to its cellars, which contain historical objects mixed with modern scenography to give a better understanding of Bordeaux wines. The visit ends with a tasting session.
Lunch in a typical restaurant in Bordeaux and according the day you will depart for St Emilion or Medoc.
One of the world’s most famous vineyard regions listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. You will sight see all along St Emilion vineyards with two stop for wine tasting and visit of the medieval village of Saint-Emilion and its underground monuments.
An exclusive and at the same time a convivial tour in four “great growths” located in Margaux, to taste and enjoy the wines and culinary delights of one of the most famous appellations of the Médoc. Château Prieuré-Lichine : history of the Margaux appellation and the 1885 classification. Château Rauzan-Gassies: Margaux, a unique terroir. Gourmet lunch at the restaurant “Le Savoie”. Château La Tour de Bessan: grape varieties and the art of blending. Château Kirwan: wine-making & wine trade, a family affair.
