Departure to visit Beyazıt Square (2nd hill of Constantinople). We will walk or take the tube or train. Beyazıt, situated over an ancient roman forum (market place) namely Theodose I times. It has taken actual establishment through the Ottoman monuments built in early 16th Century .

Our walk will take us to the small streets of old books market (Sahaflar) then we will continue along the walls of Covert Bazaar (Kapalicarsi). The next visit will be to the famous Mosque of Soliman and its complex (hospital, madrasah, mausoléum). The dome, minarets and chimneys of the mosque are unique to see in terms of the Ottoman architecture. We will be back to Grand Bazaar to discover more, first shopping mall in the history, is not only unique for its labyrinth structure of its streets and avenues but also a beautiful monument and unrivalled shopping experience. Visit of Kapalicarsi (Grand Bazaar) will enable us to explore two stunning architectural pieces of Ottoman Heritage, namely Cebeci Han (Inn) and Zincirli Han (Inn).
We will leave behind Grand Bazaar and join the route which will take us to a famous neighborhood of old town Istanbul, Mahmutpasha. Down hill walk will end up with joining the Golden Horn shore. Mahmutpasha, located around Grand Bazaar is a commercial street in traditional terms. It is still a very important component of commercial life of the city. Frequently visited by local residents but also a very attractive and vibrant shopping spot with commodity diversity and receive customers from everywhere including tourists. We will walk in the hammams of Mahmutpasha, the oldest ones in town, date back to 15th Century. Next to these Hammams, we will also visit two Inns but from the 17th and 18th Century Buyuk Yeni Han (18 Century) and then Valide Han (early 17th Century). We will try to step on the roof of this latter one to see the panoramic view of almost the entire city. A unique experience. The hills of old town, of Galata, of Golden Horn and Bosphorus, the bridges joining Europe and Asia. Valide INN, during Ottoman period was kind of “caravanserail” hosting the warehouses of wholesellers, other traders. Madrasah of Rustem Pasha; will be the next place to visit. This edifice ottoman in octogonal form constructed in 16th Century, is not serving as a school today but open to public for visits.
Finally we will arrive to Egyptian Bazaar of the 17th Century (spices and delights market) considered consideréd as young sister of Grand Bazaar; Scent of aromas in the entrance will welcome you and take to another age, dried fruits, local nuts, ( Lokoum,Baklava etc). The covert bazaar opens to Eminonu square and over the Galata Bridge, crowned with Yeni Cami (Mosque of Mother Queen) of 17th Century. We will complete the tour with the discovery of the famous Sirkeci Train Station (termination point of the Orient-Express)
