Discover the history of the second world war in the London Borough of Westminster and explore the secret bunker used by the first Minister Winston Churchill and his Government during the German bombing. Residence for clandestine and underground bases of Governments in exile, Westminster suffered a lot during the Blitz and was a hotbed of espionage.

During the tour you will pass all of the buildings of this period and happened to Winston Churchill from 10 Downing Street, the houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Finish at the Cenotaph, built in memory of the first world war and now the first memorial of war of the United Kingdom.

Along the way, discover the statue of Winston Churchill and the Monument to the women of World War II. Learn more about Governments and monarchs who have been forced into exile in London when the Germany invaded the nations of Europe.

Then, head to the Churchill War Rooms war bunker. Visit the Churchill Museum and learn about the underground rooms used to foment plots and plan war strategies.

You will visit origin of the Cabinet War rooms, the underground headquarters where Churchill found refuge with his Government of war during the Blitz. Explore the historic halls where once strategies and secrets teemed in abundance, and take the opportunity to visit the interactive museum on Churchill.

During your visit to the Churchill War Rooms, you will find historical documents that will take you on a journey in time. Cabinet War Room is a room underground. It was used to keep the secrets of the British Government and to protect personnel in case of danger.

We discover life underground as Churchill lived there days and intense nights. You will discover an authentic place because the room remained unchanged since the end of the war.

Explore the legacy of Winston Churchill and listen to the authentic sound of her inspiring war speeches. Discover fascinating stories about private and public life of Winston Churchill, his love for his wife to his special relationship with president Roosevelt. Admire the original door of 10 Downing Street that he cross after becoming Prime Minister.

The war rooms have been preserved as they were the day where the lights have been turned off in 1945, the outside temperature is even indicated. As you venture deeper into the maze, find out how life continued underground, since the top-secret conversations between Churchill and Roosevelt through the transatlantic telephone (hotline) to national concerns in the kitchen of Churchill.
